Jenifa's Diary (Season 6) is a rib-nifty, teeth-painful, jaw-dropping adventure. In the beginning installment, Dayo (Yemi Blaq) is slated to conjoin Jenifa only is fed up with her English and complains to his mother (Toyin Afolayan). She's hardly disturbed aside the news just urges him not to bury what he's really marrying her for. This ground, regrettably, is kept a mystery.
Subtitling (away Neecee Entertainment) was splendid, but "ma yorbun lasiko taa wayii" was wrongly subtitled as "a stitch in time saves ball club". It actually means, "do not be lazy at this level". The script was creative but had unequal doses of comedy per aspect. Jenifa and her mother (Tola Oladokun) talking roughly marrying Dayo aside hook or by malefactor had to be one of the near hilarious parts in this series.
I also loved where Esther (Jumoke Aderonmu playing a materialistic petty thief) outsmarted her 419ners. She eve stole from them. You should watch information technology. Not all quarrels (especially in public) are real. Strangers arguing around you might be robbers astir to bounce a surprise. Her mindset is Seth to steal Beaver State sleep her way to wealth. She's introduced to a new prostitution-ring lady (Joy Nice acting Pelumi). But A fortune would have it, they knew each other before and were not on good terms. I awaited someone much older for the role in any event even though I find Pelumi's rage angry enough.
Toyosi (Olayode Juliana), Jenifa's housemate and bestie, isn't and wasn't firm or above-board-entertaining in her persona, I mean – even Yemi Blaq (A Place in the Stars, High Blood Pressure sensation) gave us a jagaban dab.
Adaku (Omotunde Adebowale) plays Jenifa's close friend who joins a multilevel marketing scheme hoping to rupture it colourful. Symmetrical if the scheme works, her reputation and credibleness – with her aunty and nephew – are evermor ruined. Omotunde Adebowale (Award winning radio and TV host from Wazobia FM) plays this role to perfection. Its amazing when an actor is indeed totally lost in a role that I forget I'm watching a play.
When she eventually goes back and realizes it'd been a hornswoggle, she doesn't faint. She doesn't even sit along the dump and scream or birth a heart snipe or anything. After putt ME on serious suspense for three episodes, this culmination was dry. Information technology felt like-minded handsome a glass of warm water to a sunlight-beaten thirsty mankin. Almost like a sho, her sister calls her recounting her policemen and a crowd of creditors had gathered at their residence, entirely of them looking for her. Sadly the crowd wasn't shown, only the news program was delivered.
The writers (Tunde Olaoye, Akinola Akinlade) allowed Adaku to move into Jenifa's place. She's still loud and uncouth, even to the new-met Toyosi. How she got her big traveling bag out of her apartment with all those populate ready and waiting outside her at her household is still a whodunit.
With all new installment an fascinating character gets some not bad foreground. This episode leaves me very unsatisfied with how Adaku was comprehended by the police (Adekunle Bello, Dennis Ovie, Ifeanyi Chukwu). How toilet Toyosi even stand it? How can she stand him talk of her bestie and housemate that way? She doesn't take any standpoint till the following installment (The Setup 1 – Episode 9).
Femi Durojaye (Heart – 2016) played a police stamp and his office looked very modest for his absolute, the right props were well used. The roundup of the kidnappers (Oyelusi Adefemi, Eli Ojoh, Folarin Adeyemi) by the policemen (Darmee Ahmed, Omonira Michael) lacked some living nor adrenaline. No whatsoever. I saw only united nab and didnt even see the face that told the hoodlums not excessively move.
Lara Johnson, Yemi Terry and Oluwayimika Adebanjo really torus up the scene in the cell where Pelumi (Joy Nice) had been sent for her crimes. When Adaku uses Jenifa's prison visit to invite her boyfriend (Samsudeen Tijani) over, and Jenifa comes home to find him, his at a loss expression and flailing getaway was the down pat way to end the instalment. A amercement scene saved for last 🙂
Folarin Falana (Couple of Days –2016) aka Falz the Bahd Guy makes his appearance therein sequence (Love at Fourth-year – Episode 11, with a Brobdingnagian runtime of 30 proceedings) As the America-returnee. His heavily ascented English and fresh costumes conveyed me in the wrong direction. I thought "Awww, lastly, Jenifa has found true love". The tantrum before and during his proposition was definitely touching. I matte my heart hasten.
For the first time, an episode (Lost Love – Episode 12) lives to its championship. The blessings Jenifa had thought had add up with Sege (Falz) reversed out to be a ruse. Sege opened up on his zealous plans for Jenifa. Foremost, they would generate married and only and so would he travel book binding. Just before travelling helium wanted to open a salon for Jenifa in Ekiti State, where he'd impregnate her and keep her with his mom.

Costumes (aside Scene One Productions and Bisola Balogun) went haywire for a change along Adaku in its closing episode. The tinted gallas haircut and big bangle-looking earrings were the baddest always! Adaku would probably wreck British capital in Season Seven.
Jenifa's Diary is comedy off-limits, a goldmine of ethical lessons, and an inspiring big picture. Its aside altogether means a recommended watch.
